Jihyun Seo began her legal career in 2015 after graduating from the Department of Law at Sungkyunkwan University and completing the 44th Judicial Research and Training Institute. She has built her expertise as in-house counsel at leading financial institutions, including Hyundai Card, KB Kookmin Bank, and NICE Investors Service, handling a wide range of legal matters involving finance, credit, and regulatory compliance. In private practice, she has advised extensively on franchise, real estate, and consumer protection matters, and has represented clients in numerous civil, administrative, and financial disputes. Her work often includes defending corporate clients in litigation, regulatory investigations, and administrative appeals. Ms. Seo has also been active in legal education and public service. She has served as a delegate to the Korean Bar Association, a legal advisor to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and a board member of various public institutions. Her advisory work includes supporting public interest initiatives related to education, digital rights, and financial consumer protection. She frequently delivers lectures on topics such as internal controls in the financial sector, data privacy, anti-corruption laws, and workplace harassment prevention. Currently, she is participating in the development of the Seoul Bar Association’s Legal Manual on Financial Harm Relief.
