Sugyeong Sin is a leading expert in child protection and human rights law. After graduating from Hanyang University School of Law and completing the 44th Judicial Research and Training Institute, she began her legal career with a focus on representing victims of child abuse and school violence.
She has served as a designated counsel for the Korean Women Lawyers Association and as a full-time attorney at the National Center for the Rights of the Child, where she worked on numerous high-profile child abuse and neglect cases, including those involving institutional violence, online harassment, and wrongful government conduct.
Her experience extends to litigation in administrative, civil, and criminal courts, including damages claims against public authorities, child custody disputes, educational rights cases, and claims arising from domestic violence and sexual crimes. She also provides legal representation in disciplinary proceedings and wrongful accusations involving educators and public officials.
Ms. Sin is a prolific researcher and public educator. She has authored and contributed to numerous legal manuals and policy reports commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court, and child welfare agencies, and frequently lectures on child protection, school violence, and gender-based violence prevention. She is also active in media as a legal commentator on social justice issues.
